part 8 “How do I get a job in Germany?“

The legal basis for living and working in Germany for people from non-EU countries regulates this on 1. March 2020 German skilled worker immigration law entered into force.

The name of the new law says it all, that Germany needs skilled workers.

If you have at least 3 years of professional training and pass the final exam, you can call yourself a specialist in Germany.
This means if you are from a non-EU country and you are training on the basis of a curriculum (with details of the training hours in the theoretical and practical subject area) to have, you can apply for a recognition procedure in Germany. an equivalence assessment of their vocational training carried out in their home country (Study) request.

With a full appreciation

With full recognition, the professional qualification acquired in your home country is equivalent to a German skilled worker qualification.

With no or partial recognition

In some professions you can work without full recognition in your profession. Depending on the profession, a compensatory measure or adaptive qualification may be possible. Your responsible advisor will advise you on the possibilities and their costs.

From partial equivalence to full recognition

After a notification of partial equivalence, targeted adaptation qualification can be used (z.B. Praktika, Professional experience, Advanced training) the missing professional know-how can be made up. Within 5 Years it is possible, to submit a follow-up application, with which full equivalence can be achieved.

On the basis of this finding, you can then apply for a vacancy at a company in Germany.

Right to a job in Germany through an equivalency assessment:

When you apply for the application for professional equivalence assessment and have it established, you have not yet acquired a legal right to a job in Germany or a work permit (visa). To be able to live and work in Germany, you have to meet several requirements.
